Pilgrim Deck & Fence was hired to replace an aging deck in Annapolis, MD, with a focus on creating a more durable, practical outdoor space. The existing deck no longer met the homeowner’s needs for both functionality and design, leading to the decision to rebuild it completely. The objective was to construct a deck that would withstand the elements and provide long-term value.
The team selected TimberTech Reserve Reclaimed Chestnut for the decking, a composite material that combines durability with an appealing wood-like finish. Black Ultralox Alta-style railings were installed to provide a modern, minimalist design, contrasting nicely with the decking’s natural tones. A white PVC wrap around the structure added a clean, finished look and protected the framework from the weather. To enhance drainage and long-term durability, gravel was placed beneath the deck.
The finished deck provided a fresh, contemporary look while offering a sturdy, low-maintenance outdoor space. The combination of TimberTech decking, Ultralox railings, and the PVC wrap resulted in a space that requires little upkeep while maintaining its aesthetic appeal over time. Pilgrim Deck & Fence completed a project that addressed the homeowner’s needs for both a functional and visually pleasing deck.
